SCHOOLS AND KINDERGARDENS

A SAVING IN HEATING COSTS WILL BEGIN WITH CLEAN PIPES!

Schools and kindergardens

It’s essential for schools and kindergartens that all the systems work without failure. New buildings can have multiple problems with both heating and cooling systems too. Often the problems start with electrochemical corrosion. Irrespective of whether the heating systems of the building are new or old, they can be put into commission efficiently.

Since various metals are used in the heating system (sheet metal/cast iron – radiators, steel – pipeline, copper – heat exchanger), sediment forms as a result of electrochemical corrosion (various metals reacting mutually), depositing evenly in the pipeline, radiators and heat exchangers. Sediment will also form when using the so-called CHEMICAL WATER! It’s a sticky blackish mass forming an insulating layer in the system, heating through which will increase heating costs considerably. Clogging temperature controllers are a major issue. Cases where they clog in the second heating period already aren’t rare. In the case of clogging it’s impossible to adjust the temperature of the radiator.

Already in systems a few years old clogging in the pipelines, heat exchangers and radiators occurs too (often a mere ¼ of the surface area of a radiator will become hot). Thereby the water in circulation itself may be transparent and seem clean – yet that is misleading, since sediment has deposited on the inner surface of the system. The situation in ventilation heating circuits is especially poor. Particularly much sediment forms there.

The most efficient and modern solution to these problems is electromagnetic water treatment based on Bauer technology affecting minerals solved in the water, preventing the formation of scale and corrosion. After the installation of the device no soot will deposit and also sediment formed earlier will start softening and coming off the surface as a result of the treatment. The system cleaned as a result of the treatment will have smaller resistance; also the load on the circulation pump will drop and the system will maintain balance. An average saving of heating costs is 12.5%.

The saving will take place as:

  • it’s possible to heat at a lower temperature – the insulating layer (sediment) will have been removed from the radiators
  • when heating at a lower temperature, heat losses in the cellars, trunk lines and ducts will be smaller
  • the heat exchanger will be working efficiently
  • the heating system will be balanced and working as designed
  • the circulation pump will have no additional load – lower power costs
  • the need to flush the system annually will have disappeared
  • the errors and problems will disappear
  • the lifespan of the system will prolong by 2-3 months

As far as we know, a layer of sediment of 0.2 mm will cut down the efficiency of a heat exchanger by up to 40%! For the efficient transmission of thermal energy, it’s necessary to keep the heat exchanger clean. The flushing of the heating or cooling system has become an autumnal tradition, without taking into account the fact that every flushing with chemicals will cut down the lifespan of the heat exchanger. Using Bauer technology, there’s no need to perform flushing after the installation of the equipment any more.
In case you plan a renewing of the heating system, also seek our advice. 20% of pipelines are replaced due to the fact they’re rusted, 80% of pipelines are replaced due to the fact that they’re clogged . Yet why replace the pipes, they can be cleaned! Bauer technology will allow you to do it. You’ll get the existing system properly working times les expensively than when replacing the entire system.
